My name is Dr Jayaguhan Chelladurai, aka Dr Jay. I am a GP in the Central Coast NSW, Australia. I created and maintain this website/blog site to keep people informed of what I am doing as well as some information that may be informative to some people
My motto is “I like to help people live their lives away from health practitioners, investigations and medications. One’s world should not be dictated by their health conditions and taken over by the health system, the health system should merely help people and not take over"
I was born and raised in India. I completed undergraduate medical training in India in 2000. After working in India for 2 years and in the UK for 3 years, I moved to Australia in 2006. I worked in Emergency Medicine in various places including Gosford Hospital. I moved to the Central Coast in 2009 and have settled here since. I completed my General Practice training in the wonderful rural town of Inverell through Armidale network in 2015 and since then I have worked in various practices in the central coast.
With a wide variety of training including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine and Rural Remote Medicine, I can confidently state I know a bit of most things in General practice
I have been working at The Surgery, Kincumber since Nov 2023. I gave been working at the Central Coast Skin Cancer Clinic, East Gosford since October 2015.
